The Dance Centre was founded on a dream to help dancers in Tooele County achieve greatness in their sport and in their personal lives.  The central philosophy of The Dance Centre is to offer the very best training available to each and every student, whether or not they desire to pursue a college degree or a professional career in dance.   Our mission is to provide students with not only the technical dance skills that will allow them to pursue whatever dreams they might have, but more importantly we arm them with the life skills that will help them succeed in whatever they do.  Our deepest desires are to see the dancers we train become strong, successful individuals.  The Dance Centre strives to help each of our students understand the powerful impact the arts can have in their lives – as well as the impact they can have on the world by using their gifts to lift and inspire others.  We pride ourselves on having the most talented, most educated dance teachers available.   Many of our staff members have a degree in dance from a university with a renowned program, past professional dance experience, or past experience on a collegiate cheer or dance team.  Our award winning staff is the key to our success.  Our students and their families truly have made our studio a home.

Some of the things that you might find unique about our company are:

• The Dance Centre has enjoyed so much success since we opened our doors in 2008.  Our dancers have been able to audition for and perform with many of Utah’s premier professional dance companies, as several of them have won roles in Ballet West’s Nutcracker and Odyssey Dance Theater’s “Thriller” as well as being a part of Junctions Jr dance company.

• This past summer we were able to travel with a group of our dancers to NYC where they were able to train at some of the top studios in the Nation including: Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, Dance With Me and American Ballet Theater.  This experience was priceless for our girls, and is a testament to our commitment to take them anywhere and do anything that we can to help them succeed.  We will continue to take dancers to NYC every couple of years, giving them something to work towards and an opportunity to see just how far their training can take them.

• We host camps every year at our studio, bringing in artists from all over the world to teach our students.  Past instructors include former So You Think You Can Dance finalists, former world Champion Hip Hop artists, Odyssey Dance Theater dancers, NYCDA National Dancers of the Year, and more to come!!!

• This year TDC is proud to present The Nutcracker Ballet, a show that allows us to bring magic to Tooele County during the holiday season. This timeless classic is a must know for all ballerinas who are serious about their studies.  We go to great lengths to make our dancers, our stage and our costumes as perfect as possible.  From flying fabrics in for custom made costumes from as far away as Guatemala to hiring a professional Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier to help bring magic to our show .  Please join us as we ring in the holidays with this most beloved of all Ballets.
